Serving suggestions

For each gallon, fill one muslin bag with about ⅓ cup of spices and simmer it gently in 1 gallon of water for 20–30 minutes, then stir in honey to taste. Pour into mugs with 1–1½ oz of whiskey or bourbon per cup and finish with a lemon wheel. Swap in dark rum or brandy, or leave out the spirits for a cozy spiced tea everyone can enjoy. Keep a pot on low after a day on the mountain.
