Serving suggestions

Rinse, then soak in hot water or broth for 30 to 45 minutes, or in cool water in the fridge overnight for deeper flavor. Save the soaking liquid for soups and sauces. Squeeze out the excess water, then sear in butter until golden, tear into "crab" cakes, or add to soups and stir-fries.

About the Maker

FUNJ Shrooming Co. is a mission-driven, USDA-certified organic specialty mushroom farm based inside a revitalized cidering facility in South Burlington, Vermont. The urban farm operates on a strict circular food economy, they grow their fungi using reclaimed agricultural byproducts—like local hardwood sawdust and organic soybean hulls—before returning the spent compost to regional farms and gardens. This zero-waste, eco-conscious process yields incredibly nutrient-dense mushrooms that capture the fascinating culinary potential of the natural world.
